A fine English 18 carat gold open faced lever pocket watch, circa 1896. English lever movement with screwed gold chatons, signed J. Vickers 1897, 1897 is probably the year the movement was constructed and not the serial number. The case back is decorated with a flower basket, the band engraved, English hallmarks for 1896. A unique white enamel dial with Roman hours and an outer minute track, the portrait of a gentleman at 12 o’clock, monogrammed E.F. and gilt hands.
