A heavy English hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1896.
The 18 Carat gold polished case has a gold dome with presentation engraving: Presented to Leonard Bottomley, M.A., LLD. by his loving father November 9th 1899, and case maker’s punch mark JW. The signed enamel dial has radial Roman hours, centre seconds, and gold spade hands. And it has a frosted, gilt, signed and numbered 4/5 plate movement with screwed chatons, English lever escapement, and screw compensation balance.
