An important and extremely rare, heavy German 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating pocket watch with a carillon made by J. Assmann in Glashütte, circa 1900. Glazed frosted gilt ¾ plate movement with a lever escapement, three hammers, three gongs and a gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial with Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, a sunk center, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XV hands. A polished case. Dial and movement signed.
