A fine 18 carat gold French quarter repeating engraved cylinder watch in an open faced case, circa 1840. Key wind gilt movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Push pendant quarter repeating on two polished steel gongs. White dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, gold Breguet hands. Fine engraved 18 carat open faced case with engraved back and bezel. Gold bow and push pendant. Wound and set through the signed gilt metal cuvette.
