Enamelled gold rare diamond set lever watch

A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold, enamel and diamond set open faced pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1895. The manual wind jewelled movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial with blue dauphine numerals, an outer minute track, decorated center and fine yellow gold hands. The blue enamelled case back with a diamond set fleur de lys design. Dial and case signed by the watchmaker, the movement signed by both the watchmaker and retailer.

The present timepiece features three fleur de lys on the case back against a blue background, which is often associated with the French monarchy’s coat of arms and is further distinguished by an unusual gold ornament at the center of the dial.
