A decorative verge watch with a repeater, made by Breguet in Paris, France, circa 1800. The open faced case is crafted from 18 Carat gold and has an outer ring with black Arabic numerals for the hours, a reeded band and an engraved cuvette. The elaborate engine-turned golden dial has am outer ring with enamelled black Arabic numerals, an enamelled minutes register and blued Breguet steel hands. The movement has a verge escapement and a mechanism to repeat the hours and quarters.
