An exceptionally small and extremely rare gold musical watch with a corresponding high quality watch chain, made circa 1820. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold has the French gold punch since 1819, a slider in the band to start the music and is punched D.R. The engine turned silver dial has rare blued steel snake hands and the unusual movement features a cylinder escapement.
