A fine French 18 carat yellow gold open faced keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1920. This watch features a handwound mechanical movement with a lever escapement. It has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway style minute track with Arabic numerals every five minutes, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilded Louis XV hands. The case has a yellow gold bowl. The back is engraved with the monogram EL, and inside are engravings of a horsehead hallmark and the inscription Departments 1838-1919.
