A fine French, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set shell-form pendant watch with a concealed dial, circa 1810. A fermée type, shell-shaped case, spring-loaded front cover reveals the dial, both sides identically decorated with blue, white and black enamel, split-pearl set borders.  White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel Breguet hands. A hinged, gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved, silver regulation dial. Movement signed. Property of a Swiss Gentleman.
