A fine French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch from circa 1820. It has a mechanical key winding movement; the winding key is not included. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, and blued steel Breguet style hands. The timepiece is housed in a round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. The reverse back cover has a finely engine turned background engraved with a lower reserve cartouche centring the JMB monogram, paired with a fluted caseband, a rounded winding stem, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a gilt metal inner protective cuvette.
