A  slim French cylinder with digital hours in a gold and champlevé enamel open face case, circa 1840. Keywind gilt Lepine caliber movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with blue steel regulator, plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel. Unusual engine-turned silver dial with subsidiary seconds, offset minutes, and an aperture above displaying the hours in Arabic numerals, gold minute hand, blue steel seconds hand. Slim gold and restored black champlevé enamel open face case, wound and set through the signed gold cuvette.
