A fine, flat quarter repeating gold enamel pocket watch, circa 1820. Gold enamel case, floral decoration, the back cover, the bezel and the crown decorated with polychrome champlevé enamel against an opaque black enamelled background, engraved dome. Dial is silver, two-coloured, engine turned, florally punched centre, inlaid Roman numerals, blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, blued screws, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, going barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring.
