A fine French gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1810. The watch has an 18-carat gold case that is beautifully decorated with an intricate reeded band and a pusher for repetition via pendant. Its gold dial is also engine-turned and features an enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals and Breguet hands in blue. The watch’s movement has a fire-gilt bridge and is key-wound, with two hammers, two gongs, a large barrel, a cylinder escapement, and a three-arm ring balance.
