A very decorative, French skeletonized quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch, circa 1820.
The 18 Carat rose gold engine-turned case has a reeded band, case maker’s punch mark I.F, and glazed movement. The dial has a signed enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals and blued Breguet hands. And the skeletonized full-plate movement is keywind, frosted, gilt, florally engraved and signed, and has two hammers, two gongs, applied rack strike with mirror-polished steel levers, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, and pierced balance bridge.
