A very fine and rare French verge pocket watch “á quatre couleurs” with corresponding florally decorated gold chatelaine “à quatre couleurs”, circa 1775.
18 carat gold case with the back cover with applied and engraved summerflower bouquet in four-coloured gold and a large lateral hinge. Corresponding gold chatelaine with watch key and signet, length 107 mm and matching brooch. Enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and gold “Poker & Beetle” hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, solid movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, pierced and engraved balance bridge.
