A rare French 18 carat gold key wind open faced quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. Gilt cylinder movement, plain 3-arm balance, compensation curb, two polished hammers striking on two gongs.
Guilloché engraved silvered dial, black Roman numerals to brushed surround, outer minute divisions, gilt subsidiary seconds at 6, blued steel Breguet hands.
Engine turned case with round hinged, start/stop slide at 1. Cuvette and dial signed.
