A French quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch, circa 1820.
The engine-turned case is 18 carat rose gold with case maker’s punch mark CFF and turnable pusher for repetition via pendant. The silver dial is engine-turned with inlaid radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, and blued Breguet hands. And the bridge movement is keywind, frosted and gilt, with two hammers / two gongs, a going barrel, a three-arm ring balance, and a blued balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the index.
