A French verge Oignon in a silver case, circa 1720. Full plate fire gilt fusee movement, round pillars. Pierced and engraved  cock, nicely engraved plate, three-arm steel balance with spiral blue steel hairspring.  Large silver engraved regulator disc with steel indicator. Gilt dial with cartouches and black Roman numerals in it, inside ring marked for the hours and quarters. Wound through the dial with steel hands. Decoratively chased and engraved silver case, bezel decorated with foliage.
