A French gold, enamel, diamond, and seed pearl set open faced watch with bar brooch pin and chatelaine, circa 1820. This watch features a gilded bar cylinder movement and a gilt three arm balance. It has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and gilt Breguet hands. The gold case is adorned with a blue enamel Greek key design encircling a central diamond set floral motif. It is suspended from a chased and engraved gold bar brooch and chatelaine, embellished with enamel and diamonds. The ensemble includes a gold, diamond, and pearl set enamel fob, key, and locket, each with decorative geometric and stylised foliate engraving on the reverse.

There is a small scratch or loss of enamel on the back of the watch at the 4 o’clock position. Some pearls on the chatelaine have diminished in lustre. The case engraving and cuvette are well preserved. The dial is in good condition. The movement ticks when wound but appears to be intermittent.
