An extremely rare, very fine French 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating keywound cylinder pocket watch with three Jacquemarts and additional concealed erotic automaton, circa 1810.
Gilt full plate movement, engraved foliate scrolls, two hammers, two gongs, three armed brass balance, very finely engraved pierced balance bridge. Gold cuvette. Silver engine turned dial, two screwed on Indian Jaquemart gures, opening in the lower part of the dial showing a three coloured gold goat in a vineyard on a blued steel ground hiding the automaton erotic scene underneath, central an applied silver chapter ring with Roman hour cartouches and blued serpentine hands. Engine turned gloria ray decorated case, engine turned band. Cuvette signed and numbered, dial signed. Comes with original box.
