A very fine 18 Carat gold keyless dress watch with chronograph and 30-minute progressive recorder. Made by Cartier, Paris France Circa 1925. Three body, Empire carrure plate and polished case with co axial button in the crown for start/stop and return to zero functions of the chronograph.
Matt silver dial with champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring and fifths of a second chronograph divisions with Arabic five-second numerals, subsidiary seconds, 30-minute register and blued steel Breguet hands. European Watch & Clock Co. movement with rhodium-plated, Geneva striping decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, Breguet balance spring, cam micrometre regulator and chronograph with visible work.
Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co., case numbered and with EJ punch mark for Edmond Jaeger.
