Very early German pre balance Renaissance watch

A very fine and rare German one handed pre balance Renaissance watch with hour self strike and alarm, circa 1580. Fire gilt brass full plate movement, applied floral decorations, verge escapement, 2 engraved standing barrels for going and striking train, 1 barrel for alarm, baluster movement pillars, stackfreed, foliot and hog’s bristle, locking plate with internal teeth, 2 hammers, 1 bell. Silver dial with inlaid radial Roman numerals I-XII and Arabic numerals 13-24, engraved, polychrome enamelled alarm dicsc in the centre, florally engraved brass bezel and finely cut brass hand. Oval fire gilt brass case, the front cover lavishly engraved, pierced and ornamented with foliate and grotesque decoration to the back, the sides with pierced and florally engraved silver decor.
