A gentleman’s rare skeletonized pocket watch with a rare type of an overhanging cylinder escapement according to J. A. Lepautte, circa 1800. Gold case, glazed on both sides, tiered. Dial is enamel, Arabic numerals, blued Breguet hands. Skeletonized full plate movement, keywind, engraved, frosted, gilt, blued screws, barrel with foliage decorated bridge, three-arm brass balance, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock with mascaron, garnet endstone on balance.
