–
A fine German precision pocket watch with very rare movement quality, probably made in Glashütte (possibly school watch), circa 1900. 14 carat gold engine turned case, signed with Union bell punch; Union precision lever movement, very rare and best movement quality with typical Glashütte characteristics, quality 1A with 3/4 plate, screwed gold chatons, gold lever and gold escape wheel; signed white enamel dial (minimal peripheral craquelling) with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial for the Arabic seconds and blued steel spade hands.

Diameter: 50 mm

Weight: 89 g

The special movement quality corresponds to the designation on the dome. Due to the fact that the movement is not numbered, but the case has a four-digit number and the dial is signed with the name Paul Römer, it may be a Glashütte school watch.
