An 18 carat gold and enamel Swiss pocket watch. Made for the Turkish market Circa 1860.
Four-body, bassine et filets and flower and scroll chased bezel case with coin-edge band, the back cover engine-turned and engraved with flowers and scrolls, decorated with red, green and white champlevé enamel and border to match the bezel. Hinged gilt metal cuvette engraved with a scientific trophy.
White enamel dial with radial Islamic numerals, outer minute track and subsidiary seconds. Gilt Breguet hands.
Matte gilt movement with bar calibre, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement with three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring and an index regulator.
