A slim French gold open faced cylinder pocket watch with digital hours, circa 1840. Key wind gilt Lépine caliber movement with a suspended going barrel, plain cock with blue steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel. Unusual engine turned silver dial with subsidiary seconds, offset minutes and an aperture above displaying the hours in Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. Engine turned case.
Wound and set through the plain gold cuvette.
