A large English centre seconds verge with a calendar made for the Chinese market in gilt metal cases set with an enamel scene, circa 1760. Full plate fire gilt movement with signed and numbered gilt dust cover, gilt cock pierced and engraved, diamond endstone. Silver regulator disc, lateral blue steel stop lever. Fusee and chain, plain three-arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with centre seconds, chapter of Roman numerals below the pendant and subsidiaries for day and date, gilt hands. Plain inner case, the outer with gilt and engraved bezels, the front set with a row of red stones, polychrome enamel woodland scene on the back depicting a classically dressed couple.
