A large French quarter repeating cylinder watch in an 18-carat gold open faced case with striking mechanism and cylinder escapement, circa 1820.
Engine turned 18K gold case, case number 606. Keywind gilt movement, extremely fine calibre with temperature compensation and shock protection, quarter-hour repeater, cylinder escapement. Silver guilloche dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and blue steel Breguet hands.
