A very fine and rare Swiss 18K gold, enamel and rose-cut diamond-set, lady’s heart-shaped pendant watch, circa 1850. A heart-shaped case, foliate engraved band and pendant, the covers overlaid with black enamel, the front and back set with a rose diamond-set flower, engraved foliate borders and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, florally engraved mask and blued steel spade hands. Matte gilt, heart-shaped movement, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
