A very interesting and large Swiss silver open faced verge pocket watch probably made for the Chinese market, circa 1800. The gilt full plate movement with floral engraving has a verge escapement. White enamel dial with a view to the balance wheel and a polychrome enamel painting, eccentric time indication at 6 o’clock with radial Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions and blued steel hands, the date at 9 o’clock with a rose gold hand. A plain case. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
