A technically unusual version of a verge watch with alarm, made in Switzerland, circa 1800. This watch has a numbered glazed case crafted from silver, a cuvette with fine sound openings and a bell. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, a central dial to show the alarm time, steel hands and three openings for winding, setting the time and the alarm. The movement has a verge escapement with alarm.
