A Swiss platinum and sapphire-set open faced lever pocket watch, circa 1925. Lever movement, manual winding, 19 jewels. Silvered dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions. Plain case, the bow sapphire-set, on the back an applied monogram also set with sapphires, the bezel with a personal inscription. Case and dial signed by the retailer, movement signed by the watchmaker European Watch & Clock Co, case and movement numbered, hand scratched Cartier inventory number on the bow,
