A Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pocket watch with brooch made by Vacheron in Geneva, circa 1850. The gilt movement with a cylinder escapement.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, an outer Arabic minute ring and pierced hands. The case features the polychrome enamel portrait of a Renaissance lady on the back surrounded by a white enamelled ring with gold dots and a chased border with black enamel decoration. Accompanied by an associated gold and enamel brooch with the polychrome enamel portrait of a lady. The gold cuvette is signed and numbered.
