A Swiss gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch with erotic scene, circa 1790. Gilt cylinder movement, striking on a bell. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. Polished case, the case back opened by depressing a button under the bezel, painted erotic scene within an interior with a onlooker at the window.

Ever since clockmakers have been making watches, they have adorned, decorated and then animated them according to the fashions of the day and the tastes of their customers.
