A rare American 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless lever double dial chronograph pocket watch, circa 1880. 3/4 Plate gilt finished lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, eccentric subsidairy seconds, the reverse, white enamel chapter ring with calibrated Arabic 1/5th seconds ring and aperture to view escapment. Glazed dust cover. Plain case, reeded rims, rectangular chronograph button in the band. Case, dial and movement signed, movement further signed H. A. Lugrin’s Pat. June 13, Oct, 3, 76 Patd. In England July 28, 1877.
