A Swiss gold skeletonized quarter repeating open faced Jacquemarts pocket watch with automaton, circa 1850. Gilt full plate movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, plain three arm balance. Gilt cuvette. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, three color gold Jacquemarts realistically striking bells in unison to the repeating mechanism. Engine turned gold case and band, the quarter repeating mechanism activated through the pendant, strike/silent pusher at 11 o’clock.
