A fine and rare Swiss gold, enamel and diamond set lorgnette with concealed watch, circa 1850. Gilt finished movement, 8 jewels. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, concealed under a spring loaded cover with diamond set floral decoration on green enamel, opened by sliding a button in the handle. Lorgnette form case with finely chased and engraved floral and foliage decoration to both sides, folded lorgnette released by sliding a spring catch in the band. Case signed.
