A decorative French 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased verge watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1810. Gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance cock. White enamel dial with Turkish numerals. Case with scalloped band, both sides with star shaped cartouches decorated with painted polychrome enamel trophies of music on rose enamel background, bordered by painted polychrome enamel bands of flower on turquoise enamel background, similarly decorated pendant and bow. Case numbered, cuvette and movement signed and numbered, dial signed.
