A French three-colour gold, enamel and diamond-set open faced quarter repeating à toc cylinder watch, circa 1810. Gilt finished movement, cylinder escapement, steel polished hammers striking to the case. Gilt dial with two-colour gold border, engine-turned centre, Roman chapter and blued steel serpentine hands. The case with translucent blue enamel over engine-turned ground with gold stars, centred by the enamelled miniature portrait of a woman, the band diamond-set on both sides, diamond-set plunge repeat in the bow, punched JS, rubbed case maker’s mark. Case numbered.
