A rare French 18k yellow gold, onyx and enamel square open faced watch, circa 1920, circular nickel lever movement, 19 jewels.
Silvered guilloché dial, Arabic numerals indicating minutes to the chapter ring, bezel with gold and enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals spaced by florets, case with rounded corners, dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co., Inc., case with hand-stamped Cartier reference numbers, with an associated chain with black and white enamel bars, completed by a diamond-set 14k gold fob.
