Gold and enamel half pearl set verge fob watch

A rare Swiss gold, enamel and half pearl set verge fob watch in the form of a padlock, circa 1800. The case is chased and engraved decorated with champlevé enamel and polychrome enamelling, the semi circular lug with a blue and black enamel pattern, a gold dome and hinged front and back lids with enamel shield shaped medallions, the front with two doves on a blue ground, the back with Cupid sitting in a rosebud. Polychrome enamel dial with gold coloured radial Roman hours on a blue ground, a black enamelled centre with engraved star and gold arrow hands. Gilt full plate movement with chain and fusee, key wind, three arm brass balance and pierced engraved balance bridge.
