Silver Geneva verge pocket watch by Balthasar Faure

A very rare, Swiss single-handed Geneva verge pocket watch with self striking hour, circa 1690.
Silver, gilt brass and copper case with rear bell and large lateral hinge; bezel and backside with soundholes. Silver dial, Champlevé style, with inlaid radial Roman numerals, engraved and chased center and blued steel single hand. Full plate movement, keywind, fire gilt and signed, with chain/fusee, florally pierced and engraved barrel for striking train, locking plate, silver baluster pillars, applied blued iron click work, one hammer, plain three-arm steel balance, and very finely florally engraved, pierced balance cock.
