Pocket watch with pearls and diamonds and original gold chatelaine

An exquisite gold Louis XV pocket and pendant watch with pearls and diamonds and original gold chatelaine also with pearls and diamonds, made by Fournier-Haurin in Paris, France, circa 1880. The numbered and extremely high quality open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold in à goutte shape and its edge and bracket are set with miniature pearls on both sides, the back lid has a gold monogram “MN” and is also set with diamonds. The attractive Louis XV enamel dial has a minute scale with red Arabic numerals, an hour scale with black Roman numerals and extremely rare red gold hands set with diamonds. The movement has a fine cylinder escapement with wolf’s teeth.
