A early precision keyless pocket watch, probably made by Le Coultre & Cie in Le Sentier, Vallée de Joux, Switzerland,  circa 1865. The numbered beautiful quality case of this watch was crafted from 14 carat gold has a reeded band and has an aristocratic coat of arms on the back lid. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The movement is fitted with a fine lever escapement.
