Gold hunting cased keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1905 to 1910. It features a high grade mechanical crown winding movement with a traditional lever escapement. The white enamel dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railroad minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and blued steel spade hands. It is signed Patek Philippe & Cie Genève. The timepiece is housed in a round 14 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case with highly polished, smooth protective front and back covers, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow. This pocket watch comes with an original fitted presentation box from the period, lined with dark red silk and velvet, signed by the retailer Rudolf Buderer in Stuttgart, and a Patek Philippe hardcover reference book by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery.
