Gold keyless lever watch made for the Ukrainian market

A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold open faced keyless pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1912. Retailed by Louis Schwartz in Odessa, Ukraine. It has a gilded brass mechanical crown wind movement with a moustache lever escapement, bimetallic balance wheel, blued steel Breguet balance spring system and is inscribed Pat Jan 13 1891. The matt gold dial shows Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. This timepiece is housed in a solid polished case with a smooth polished reverse, a fluted winding crown, sturdy round suspension bow and a solid 14 carat gold cuvette bearing the personal presentation engraving Specially made for Louis Schwartz Odessa alongside the signature Patek Philippe. The movement is signed Patek Philippe and the dial Patek Philippe & Cie Genève.
