A splendid Swiss 18 carat yellow gold, diamonds and enamel keyless pocket watch, circa 1850. Accompanied by an extract from the archives and a later Patek Philippe fitted box. The back cover with blue guilloche enamel, diamond set gold stars and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel spade hands. Matte gilt movement, eight jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, plain three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette and movement signed, case numbered.
