A Swiss 18k yellow gold, enamel and diamond-set hunting cased watch, circa 1850, detached lever movement, 13 jewels, gold cuvette.
White enamel dial with hairlines, subsidiary seconds, the front with a polychrome enamel scene of Venus and Cupid in tones of blue and pink, framed in opaque blue enamel set with rose-cut diamonds, the reverse with a Swiss mountain scene, bezels and band chased with scrollwork, the interior of the case engraved ‘Souviens toi’, cuvette numbered, case signed and numbered.
