Gold full hunter case pocket watch
–
One of the first 18 carat anker chronometers with crown winding, numbered and made by Patek Philippe in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1860. The full hunter case is crafted from 18 Carat gold and is engine turned on both sides. The white enamel dial has an outer ring with black Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock and high-quality gold hands. The very early anker chronometer movement with crown winding has an especially large chronometer balance, Wolf’s toothing and a moustache lever escapement.
Case and movement with matching numbers and cuvette signed.
