Swiss cylinder in a decorative gold open-faced case, circa 1860. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt hands. Unusual circular 18-carat open-faced case surrounded by a chased and engraved floral frame bearing vines and two gryphon heads next to the pendant. Engraved and engine turned back, wound and set through the gold cuvette engraved with details of the movement.
